Swedish rural sociologist’ departmental visit - Prof Klara Fischer.

On 6th February 2024, Prof. Klara Fischer from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Urban and Rural Development visited the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, with her masters students.  In the second term, 2024, Prof Fischer will give a seminar and master class on rural development in the Eastern Cape, and a master class on historicising social science research. Her two master’s students, as part of their exchange programme, will seat in our postgraduate classes in Sociology and Anthropology.
